We have arrived!

Yesterday morning, Monday the 27th June, we began our long journey to Sweden. After so many months of build up, it is so exciting to finally be on our way. As the team are from all four corners of the country, we agreed to meet at Marjolien’s house before beginning our journey.

On her way from Amsterdam, Marcia stopped off at Barneveld to pick up five new Tattini jackets, what fantastic service that they were ready in time. Alexandra flew directly to Sweden. With the car full of all our beautiful sponsored kit the Dutch team set off for Sweden where even after some bad traffic, we managed to arrive just in time for dinner.

The Hotel Djingis Khan is a four star hotel and the lovely rooms and amazing food was definitely welcome after our long journey.

The next morning we were treated to a fantastic breakfast, complete with fresh waffles! Todays schedule included a welcome talk from the University of Lund and tour around the city. We found Lund to be a lovely city with lots of parks, beautiful buildings and friendly people; it was also nice for the University to address the academic side of our competition.

We are writing this in a quiet moment (probably the last!), the party begins tonight with the official opening ceremony, so stay tuned for more.
