Home after a mixed week
The WUEC team have now arrived home after a mixed week in Sweden. Our wonderful sponsors allowed us to look professional from the start; Tattini, Harry’s Horse, Derby, Gatehouse, so plastron and Q.Linn.
Joanne, Marcia and Marjolein rode their best, but Student Riding is a combination of horsemanship and outside factors such as the judge, opponents and order of horses. Unfortunately this time all these factors were against us, as unbelievably w…e were against the individual winners of the jumping and the dressage in the first round!
In the team test the Netherlands finished fourth. Marjolein beat the other two riders on her horse and Marcia finished in the top 10 scores. In the jumping, there was only a small difference in style marks between Joanne and her opponent, but not in our favour. This time there were no prizes for the Dutch Team at the World Championships, but it was a fantastic experience in a beautiful setting.
A lot has been learnt and we thoroughly enjoyed the week. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, without you it would not have been possible. tack så mycket!
